JOB SUMMARY:

The Territory Account Manager will be responsible for selling D-Link’s products and services. The candidate should be a self-starter with 5 years+ of sales/account management experience and including the ability to effectively present to both technical and executive audiences.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Experienced outside sales person covering the territory
  • Primary Driver of end-user and channel sales through channel partners
  • Team Player with a sales team consisting of an engineer and inside salesperson to drive territory revenue
  • Manage team resources effectively
  • Solution selling to existing customer base, and new prospects which include both reseller partners and end-user accounts
  • Work closely with Marketing and Channel team for developing Business Strategies, programs and promotions for key reseller partners in territory
  • Generate demand leveraging resources to grow Sales and consistent quarter over quarter growth of revenue
  • Focus on Medium to Mid Market Enterprise Accounts, building customer relationships that span to the executive level
  • Qualify opportunities based on a strategic selling methodology that will enable you to better determine how to prioritize time and resources
  • Develop and leverage a strong understanding of solutions from D-Link
  • Leverage D-Link’s value proposition to influence buying decisions within strategic accounts and markets
  • Provide timely and accurate territory revenue forecasts for all opportunities within territory
  • Maintain an accurate and measurable pipeline within territory with a background of regularly overachieving sales targets
  • Help Select Partners close large end-user opportunities, including design, configuration, and a background of strategic selling
  • Maintain knowledge of D-Link’s key competitors and industry trends
  • Hunter mentality

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5 or more years of outside sales experience
  • 3-5 years successful sales experience in a technology environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of networking related sales experience
  • Networking hardware, wireless and IP Surveillance sales experience a plus
  • Ability to sell value and effectively position Dlink products against our competition
  • VAR and/or end user sales preferred
  • Must be able to demonstrate professional presentation skills on complex topics
  • An understanding of data communications and converged networking concepts
  • A demonstrable understanding of strategic selling
  • Experience required in having developed and executed on a demand engine that delivered growth in both top line revenue and margin objectives
  • Results oriented and effective in customer situations comprising senior level management as well as technical personnel
  • Proven ability to work independently in a dynamic sales environment
  • Proven ability to exceed goals
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
